We recently completed on our house purchase and I honestly can’t thank Charlotte enough for everything she did for us. From start to finish, she was absolutely fantastic. Buying a property can be stressful, but Charlotte made the whole process feel manageable and under control.
She was always clear, thorough and incredibly responsive. No question ever felt like a silly one, and she took the time to explain things properly, which really helped put our minds at ease. When things needed chasing or clarifying, she was proactive and on it straight away.

I’m sorry to say our experience wasn’t a positive one. We chose to appoint Goddard Dunbar to oversee the sale of our home as the conveyancing solicitor we used to buy a couple of years prior had moved to the practice and we wanted to secure their services.
Through no fault of their own, at some point during the process they went on medical leave but this was not communicated to us. We also weren’t made aware of the team structure and received emails from numerous members of staff at various points, without really knowing who our best point of contact was.
As we were emigrating at the same time as selling our house, they were aware of the urgency of our side to line up our completion date with the day we were due to leave the country in December.
We proposed our completion date at the end of October, which was agreed, but then found out at the end of November that our file hadn’t been made ready for exchange. We were pushing our buyer’s solicitor via our Estate Agent as we thought they were the hold up, only to find out that the issue was on our side as our file wasn’t ready. We wouldn’t have known if not for the work of our Estate Agent’s progression manager and this only added to the stress of moving out of the country.
Then, after completion, it was brought to our attention that there was an error on our completion statement and that we had to arrange to send some funds back.
Got the job done, but wouldn’t recommend.

WOW ! We have just purchased our first home and we had absolutely no idea what we were doing ! We were recommended @goddarddunbar&associates by our mortgage broker and a quick phone call later and a few weeks of going through the motions we have our first home ! Charlotte and Nicola took on everything and answered any questions and kept us well informed every step of the way and made the whole process effortless on our part and even stayed behind late on a Friday to get everything over the line on the day of completion. We can’t thank or recommend @goddarddunbarassociates enough for all the effort and help in helping us get our first home and we will without doubt be back in the future !
