Throughout November and December, Goddard Dunbar & Associates orchestrated the “Coats for Christmas” campaign. This initiative involved collaborating with local estate agents, serving as designated ‘drop points’ to allow individuals closer to these branches to conveniently contribute their donations.
The inspiration for this campaign struck our Managing Director, Jim Goddard, one morning during his commute, filling him with excitement. He was eager to help our local community. Upon investigation, we discovered statistics indicating that 523 individuals were homeless in Staffordshire last year, emphasizing the need for action.
Without hesitation, Kennedy and Nathan promptly began reaching out to various charities, assessing their requirements for coats. Once we compiled a list of those in need, we contacted estate agents to gauge their interest in participating. The overwhelming response from numerous individuals eager to join in was truly heartening.
With charities and estate agents on board, we immersed ourselves in creating promotional materials and spreading the word as extensively as possible. Subsequently, we reached out to local radio stations to inquire if they could assist in spreading the word. Several enthusiastic stations promptly responded, eager to host us on air to discuss the campaign.
